Slate Coasters: Every slate coaster is made from natural stone, so subtle differences in color, texture, and edge shape are to be expected—and celebrated. These natural characteristics make each piece uniquely yours. To care for your coaster, wipe clean with a damp cloth. Do not soak or place in the dishwasher. To restore the rich black finish over time, apply a light coat of food-safe mineral oil and buff dry.
Cork Coasters and Cork Trivets: Made from natural cork—slight variations in color and texture make each piece unique. To care for your coaster or trivet, wipe clean with a damp cloth. Do not soak or place in the dishwasher. Allow to air dry completely after use.
Bamboo Cutting Boards: Hand wash only, using mild soap and warm water. Never soak the board or put it in the dishwasher. Dry immediately. Wipe all surfaces completely with a clean towel and let the board air-dry standing up. Apply a food-safe mineral oil whenever the wood looks dry. Unscented drug store mineral oil works great - be sure to avoid using cooking oil.
Earrings: Our earrings are handcrafted from natural basswood and finished with nickel-free, plated-metal findings, making them a comfortable option for many sensitive ears. To preserve the natural wood, keep earrings dry and remove them before showering, swimming, or going out in heavy rain. Apply perfume, hairspray, lotions, and other personal-care products before putting on your earrings to help protect the metal finish.
Etched Glassware: The custom-etched glass pieces are permanently etched and are designed to be enjoyed for years to come. Top rack dishwasher safe. Hand wash with warm water, mild dish soap, and a soft sponge or cloth. Avoid abrasives. Can also be cleaned with glass cleaner and a microfiber cloth for a sparkling finish. Avoid sudden, extreme temperature changes, such as pouring boiling water into cold glass, which may cause the glass to crack.
Safety Notes for Etched Candle Holders: Never leave a burning candle unattended. Keep away from children, pets, drafts, and anything that could catch fire. Always place the candle holder on a stable, heat-resistant surface. Use caution when handling—the glass container may become hot while the candle is burning.
